VOL. 1177

We've been in business almost five years now and for whatever reason we've never done a fashion show. Maybe it's because we sell mainly t-shirts, or maybe its because we were never really huge fans of the idea, but we were recently approached by the guys at Stingaree to give it a shot. They asked if we would like to do a small little show on the rooftop of their club. We weighed the pros and cons and finally decided to get on board with the idea of putting together our first fashion show. Our idea was to feature our own brand and some of the brands that originated from San Diego such as, Irons, Cash Crop, 9five, and Hellz. We only had about two weeks to prepare so we were very busy putting the details all together.

The day of the show creeped up on us fast and we weren't sure we would be ready. We had to make sure we had all the right sizes and everything was steamed and ready for the models. We started the hair and make-up around 6pm and we were lucky to have our friend Jessica do all the make-up for the girls. 9five provided the eyewear for the night.

We got to the club round 8ish and had to get right into a dress rehearsal. Terry was in-charge of the changing all the girls.

Julie and Destiny loosening up before the show.

We knew that doing this show at a night club was going to be tough. We made it clear that in order for us to do the show they needed to relax on the dress code, especially hats. Of course they said that they would slide on the dress code but, to no surprise, it didn't happen. With 300 or more people on our guest list we knew we would run into some kind of problem and guess what...we did. We would like to apologize to those of you that came down to support, stood in line and were refused entrance at the door.

When 11pm hit, the lights turned on and then it was show time.

We're pretty sure that Saira and Robby are happy the show is over.

Over all the show went well, thank you to everyone that helped out, the models, photographers, all the brands support (Especially Lanie and the Hellz Crew) and all of you that came out and showed us love. We are looking forward to the next one.
