Just got the new Aloe Blacc "Good Thing" LP in the mail today from Stone Throws. Most of you probably heard his song "I need a dollar" as the opening track on HBO's "How to Make it in America". Although, I'm not huge fan of the show, the opening track is great and I can say the same about the entire CD. I have a feeling I'm going to play the shit out of this cd and burn myself out on it...but hey, that's a good thing. 

Robert had a little bbq at his house this weekend to coincide with the sandcastle competition they have every year in IB. I had no idea it was as big as it was and it took us close to an hour to get down there and also find parking. Once we got there we jammed down to the beach to see us some sandcastles before the event ended and all the castles got smashed.  

They said that there were nearly two hundred thousand people here. 

This was the political castle of the day. Nothing like getting you message out to the kids via sand.  BP had no comment. 

If only they put a mustache and beard on him, then I would have a portrait of myself.

Number 15 was my favorite castle. 

These dudes were on some next level castle stuff. Texting while getting buried!? Plus, check out homie in the back with no shirt and shades giving us "sexy time pose". 

This guy lives for this day for sure... 

I guess there were a boat load more castles but because we got there late we missed out. This is what they let happen to the castles when the event is over, the kids get to go to town and smash the crap out of them.

Thanks to Mary and Robert for the BBQ. Sorry I didn't take more pics but my camera battery died. I'm going to be more prepared for it next year. May even build a 5&A Dime castle?
