Welcome to the 5&A Dime soap box.

Sunday (No)Funday

Jonathan Ikemura

With another week, comes another edition of Sunday Funday. Let's start at 12 A.M. right at the crack of Sunday. The whole 5D crew decided to finally make a field trip to Sky Zone. When we first entered we thought, "Hey, let's jump around for 2 hours." In the first 10 minutes we were already sweating and shedding off layers. Synchronized flips, slam dunks, and foam pit diving were just the beginning of our night's fun. We found our way to the dodge-ball court, and had to unload on each other.

Little kids were pummeling each other, we decided to take it a little bit easier on them.

I'll have to take my camera next time. Every single iPhone photo turned out blurry.

We migrated over to In-N-Out and had to adjust to not bouncing around for two hours. We felt like our super powers of hops were taken away from us prematurely.

Later that morning we woke up feeling very sore. (I guess we have to use our front flipping muscles more often.) But since it was Sunday (Funday) we had to press on.

We found ourselves attending a Japanese festival.

It was mostly an eating festival for us. This cold ramen bowl really hit the spot.

We found a weight class for Nick to fight in.

At this point, Sunday (Funday) was running like a well oiled machine. Maybe even a little too well.

Terry accidentally smacked Jay's shaved ice out of his hands... But we suspect fowl play.

We decided to caption the fallen shaved ice "Sunday No-Funday" as a joke, but the theme started to follow us around. After some very poor service at a bicycle shop, and even worse service at lunch, we tried our best to 180 this funk.

We took a trip into Old Town (Jay just calls it Regular Town) for dinner.

Continuing on the theme of Sunday No-Funday. I'm pretty sure we were forgotten by the staff at this Mexican restaurant. "Are you guys waiting?"- Maitre-de.

We somehow ended up getting our food after the restaurant had closed, even though we arrived pretty early.

Even though the title of this post was "Sunday (No)Funday" the crew still had a blast. We just had to laugh everything off through out the day. Laughter is the best medicine they say. I don't know who "They" are, but it seems to do the trick. Anyways, check back for more Sunday Fundays! Hopefully next week's post won't have any spilled shaved ices!
