2014 must be the year of starting fresh. First, Blends and Armory relocated. Then we decided to make some changes to the 5&A Dime store and website. Now, our friends next door at 9Five have remodeled their flagship store and it is looking killer!
The guys took what used to be some office space and turned it into a what could either be the most pristine, classy dungeon you've ever seen, or a secret room at the Playboy Mansion. It could go either way, but DAMN it looks nice in there! They redid the wood flooring, added some fresh paint and applied their signature 9Five aesthetic to what used to be a boring workspace. Now there's more room for their expanded apparel line, their quickly growing line of watches and more.
The front of the store is now more open and simple. The photography on the wall displays some of 9Five's skate team, some fashion trendsetters and some spectacular looking women; all wearing some 9Fives. It's more clean, more refined, more boutique - yet it doesn't seem snobby or over the top. The shades are on display as usual, but with no distractions. Once you make it to the back you'll see apparel, watches, skate decks and more. The front of the store is the eye opener, the back of the store is the deal closer. Minus the hick connotations, it's like a reverse mullet : party in the front, business in the back.
From the wood floors to the chandeliers, the stone to the floating shades display; the new look is fresh. Next time you're down on the block, make sure to stop by. We've been doing business with 9Five for a while and it's been a pleasure to watch them grow. We're proud and excited to have our friends doing top notch business right next door. See y'all there!
