Sunday Funday: Gone Fishin'
Jonathan Ikemura
This week we took a little mini-vacation down to Miramar Lake. Jay and I just got our fishing licenses the other day and wanted to take them out for a test run. We both haven't been fishing since we were little kids, so it's been a while for me (and even longer for Jay).
This weekend was a scorcher! Luckily it was a lot cooler by the lake.
This corner was called Mo's Hole. Supposedly there are fish hiding in here (According to a Google search from 2010).
After dicking around Mo's Hole for a few practice casts, we decided to pack up and move over to the other side of the lake. By the way, if you find any lures stuck in the fence, those are Jay's. So don't take them.
The sun was setting pretty fast, and the gates close at 8. Time was against us.
My glittery bait is useless without the sun!
A whole lot of nothing. The only bites we were getting were from mosquitoes.
We didn't catch any fish, but Jay caught a lure! We think that's more rare anyways.
Well still no fish, it's time to get out of here.
We didn't catch any fish, but it was still more fun than rollerblading in the dark.
Well, I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I really thought we would catch a fish. I mean we spent all day in the shop Saturday looking up Youtube videos for tips. It was still fun though, so maybe next week!
